The Lenten Season begins...

Today is Ash Wednesday. This marks that start of the Lenten Season, 6 and a half weeks before Easter. This is the time where we Catholics start fasting, repent for our sins, and abstain from eating meat or whatever we decide on to. Today, I learned  (from Wikipedia) that in Ireland, Ash Wednesday is a National No Smoking Day.  Are you willing to give up something for the Lenten Season as your way of repenting for your sins?

Do you follow certain traditions in observance of the Lenten season? In my case, we follow the no No-Meat Friday rule most specially on Good Friday, Way of the Cross every Holy Thursday, attending Palm Sunday mass, praying the Rosary at exactly 3pm on Good Friday, and celebrating the Easter mass. That's it. Not much strict compared to what the others are accustomed to. Care to share yours?
