I have been under the weather since Monday, March 9. I woke up in the afternoon to get ready for work when suddenly my body ached. Body temperature was at 38.8 degrees. Woah! I was running a fever and I knew that the flu was on its way. I called in sick for work and tried to rest. The following day, I was still running a fever and was terrible weak so I decided to pay my doctor a visit. He then found out that my tonsils are so so swollen. Not again! I was advised not to talk (I had to use a mini whiteboard to communicate here at home) and to rest... rest... rest... I rested well on a Wednesday, getting ready for my Thursday night shift. I felt better and energized. As soon as I came home from work on a Friday morning, it started all over again. I felt the pain worsen. This time it was already affecting my ears. I could not even give out a big big yawn because of the pain I was feeling. I had a difficult time eating, drinking, yawning, and talking. I just had to rest. I have been sick with tonsilitis before but this time's really worst. I've had it for the past week now.

Tonsilitis is a painful disease that is caused by an inflamed tonsils. The inflammation is due to infection and/or because they are filled with foreign substance.
Symptoms of Tonsilitis :
* Swelling and pain in the throat
* Inflammation and irritation in the area on both sides of the throat causing difficulty in swallowing.
* Fever
* Headache
* Stiff neck
Recommended Treatments:
1. The first thing to do is detoxification, drink orange juice and aloe. Eat plenty of green vegetables and fresh fruits.
2. Drink a lot of water.
3. Do activities that force the body to sweat a lot, helping to eliminate the toxins through the skin and kidneys.
4. Gargle with salt water.
5. Intake of antibiotics
6. Tonsillectomy - is a surgical removal of tonsil. This procedure is being done if there is a repeated attack of tonsillitis. (yay! they're considering me a candidate for this procedure)
