Hello Mr. Sun!

Hello there, Mr. Sunshine! For more than a month now, I have been saying Good Morning, Sunshine as I am back to working the regular working hours. Nothing beats waking up early in the morning and waiting for the sun to rise. Also, nothing beats enjoying the view of the sunset while on your ride on the way home. Perfect!

Work is okay. I'm loving it. In fact, I find it challenging - Pet Insurance! It's true that we love and value our pet's. But knowing that some countries offer Pet Insurance is something new to me. And they really are interested in taking out a policy for their cats and dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if in the coming months, we'd offer wireless pet fences and come up with lots of dog fence reviews. Oh well, this job is fun and exciting. I'm loving every minute I am at work. Wonderful working environment, terrific people, and great work sched. I am definitely back!

Yesterday's Daily Devotion - The One Thing You Can Do

The One Thing You Can Do
by Joyce Meyer - posted March 05, 2014

I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. —Philippians 3:13
Paul knew the one thing that would help him more than anything was to forget the past.
How do we forget what lies behind us—the situations in our pasts, especially those things causing us to feel guilty? We stop thinking and talking about them, and keep pressing forward. We all have a past, but we also all have a future! Stop living in the past mentally and emotionally, and believe by faith that good things are ahead.
Don’t focus on things you can no longer do anything about, and don’t waste time in regret. Even though we make mistakes in life, we can recover and still enjoy an amazing life through Christ. Get excited! Good things are coming!
Power Thought: My past is the past; God has a good plan for what lies ahead.

Lovely, isn't it? I forgot sharing this beautiful devotion yesterday. Why didn't I remember scheduling this post to come out yesterday? Arrggh, now I see myself in passage. I must let go of the past and look forward to today and the future. Focus ahead! Powerful Thought indeed: My past is the past; God has a good plan for what lies ahead. AMEN!

Instagram Online Stores

As I logged back in to IG yesterday, I have a lot of invites from IG online shop owners asking me to follow their profiles. Amazing! There are countless online stores not easily accessible in IG. Didn't imagine that there would be a lot. A whole lot of them. I got around 7 invite notifications from online stores that sell different kinds of stuff - clothes, shoes, bags, e-books, perfume and accessories. Woot! For an affordable price plus shipping fee, in 3 days you'd get your purchase.

I didn't notice that I spent a  full hour just by browsing the stuff from one of the stores that sold accessories. I am into  bracelets and bangles and they sold stuff that I really want to have - Handcuff Bracelets. Also available are sets of infinity rings that I am dying to have, and men's rings similar to the SK cobalt rings found online. Oh, hello Mr. Grey! Also found cute infinity and men's rings similar to the I'm pretty sure that my friends would love to own one too. Will browse more of the stores over the weekend and make my first purchase by then. I will keep you posted and will share the stores that I have visited.

Healthy and Fit 2014

This year, I want to be healthy and fit. This is not a resolution but a goal that I need to reach and keep. I am not getting any younger I know. So I have to start to take care of myself. I am proud to have gone out walking and jogging for three straight days now. Plus free Zumba classes on Saturdays. Feels so good.

If there would be a resolution for this year, I could only think of one thing - drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. I even learned that it is much better if our water intake is at 1-2 glasses every hour. I can do this!

I am really passionate about being fit and healthy. I am even scheduled to check out clothes to match my daily jogging and walking routine. Also, I need to download songs that would rev me up while jogging.

Can you suggest songs for me to download and add to my playlist? Thanks!

Recipe: Pork Binagoongan

My favorite! Aside from the usual Adobo, thia dish comes into mins whenever I think of the summer season. Not quite healthy but oh so YUMMY!!! Best eaten with steaming hot rice.

Ingredients:

1k pork belly
1 head garlic, crushed (i so love my garlic crusher)
1 large onion, minced
2 large tomatoes, seeded and sliced
2-3 pcs finger chilies
1/2 c bagoong alamang
1/2 c vinegar
2 cups water
2 tbsps brown sugar
Cooking oil
Ground black pepper

Easy Steps:

1. Saute garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Some put in garlic first. Others, onions first. ME, i drop them altogether over heated cooking oil, medium fire, untouched for about 30 secs. Then sauteed after til tomatoes become mushy. Smells so goog. Try it!

2. Add pork. Cook til brown on all sides.

3. Add the rest of the ingredients except vinegar. Wait til pork is tender.

4. Add vinegar and cook for about 2-3 mins.

Season with ground black pepper and serve with rice.

I AM HUNGRY NOW!!!

Home Tip: Pillow Test

I found my old little notebook where I jot down tips for the home. I found this pillow test which I took note of from one of the Good Housekeeping magazines that I collect. I am so thankful for finding this as I have been experiencing neck and shoulder pains for the past nights.

** Fold your pillows in half. If it opens back up on its own, you are certain that it still is good to use. If it doesn't, it's time to consider buying a new one.Pillows should be replaced every 1-2 years to help make sure it supports your head, neck, and shoulders comfortably. **

I am just so happy to find this little notebook. Happy because I am so much into re-arranging everything here at home. I know that  I can do this slowly but surely. One step at a time. Last night, I was thinking of setting up a wall fountain or mini garden falls in the backyard.I looked up and watched videos about wegotpumps only to find out that these kinds of pumps are not the ones that I need. Lol! This is one project I need to complete for the year 2014. Will keep you posted.

Easy Stir-fried Bean Sprouts

Got no time? On a budget? Have this!
Yummy and healthy. No meat required haha.

Simply saute garlic and onions. Add carrots, bean sprouts, and kinchay (flat leaf parsley?). Pour a little amount of light soy sauce, and a bit of oyster sauce. Add a dash of ground black pepper and a few drops of sesame oil and..... VOILA! Yummy meal in just 5 mins.

You may add whatever you want. I sometimes add murshrooms, young corn, and sitsaro (snow peas). But since I didn't have those veggies available, I had to do with what I have on hand.

Happy eating!
