It's raining! Looks like it won't stop till early evening. With nothing to do, I stepped out of the door, sat in the garden, and enjoyed the rainfall. Oh, memories came flashing by. Early morning AM radio broadcasts about classes being suspended, champorado, arroz caldo, dewy rain scent - memories that I will forever treasure. As I entered the teeny bopper stage, the early morning radio broadcasts were still present, but this time, I remember reading a book and tidying up my room. I loved the rain then, I still love it now. Only to the extent that it cools the surroundings, mind you. Not to the point of flooding, landslides, etc. Hell, NO!
After an hour and a half in the rain, I decided to take a quick shower. I have prepared myself a hot cup of milk tea, and am choosing a book to read. I realized that there are still 5 books waiting to come out of their plastic covers - untouched. Now is a good time to catch up on reading.
What memories do you have as soon as you see overcast skies and have that strong feeling that it's gonna rain?
