For the first time...

It feels good to be back home. Back on my own bed, back to where I feel relaxed, back to where I belong. Staying in the hospital felt weird. Actually, it was my first time. One of my greatest fear is to be hospitalized. Seeing all the machine in the hospital really scares the hell out of me. Good if it were like the back massager machines I see. But they are not.

And so it happened. I had to be admitted coz of tonsillitis. My doctor wanted IV infused Antibiotics. Yaiks! Upon hearing that, I got all the more scared. I had a difficult time speaking, was experiencing pain in the ears and neck, and couldn't eat nor drink at all. But after hearing my doctor say that, I tried to act as if I was okay. But then, I failed.. Pfft..

I guess I'm one of the lucky few who had all the time to prepare for this confinement. My doctor mentioned that my stay wouldn't be longer than three days. So, after the morning check-up I had, I was given the time to pack for hospital stuff. Inside my hospital bag was just a towel, a blanket, a set of pj's, my cellphone charger, toiletries, and books. Yes, books. This is the only chance I could get to finish all my backlogs. Imagine 6 books waiting to be read. What's funny is that my husband has packed his things too. Huh? I saw him packing his clothes and his toys. Yes. He brought his psp and laptop with him. I understand. There really isn't much to do in the hospital. Being the companion of a person confined in the hospital is boring. Waaayy to booring. All you could do is watch TV all day. So I pretty much understand why he had to pack all those stuff. And mind you, before going back to the hospital, we got the chance to pass by a shop to have new games installed in his psp. Aargh! Can you just imagine how ready my husband is! Haha. Perfectly fine with me coz I really know how it feels. We had the camera with us, too.  I even kidded him by saying "Outing tayo?" Lolz. Oh and 1 more thing, since I was given the time to prepare and go home first, I had the chance to reserve a room for me to stay. The person at the admitting office said there are no vacant rooms yet. We could try after an hour or two. After an hour, I called from home and asked if there were rooms already available. Yey, they had. I was just told to wait for at least two hours so they could clean and disinfect it.

We arrived the hospital just in time. The room was okay by then and all papers/waivers have been signed up for. I can still recall the feeling I had then. Uneasy and nervous. The bed was like the massage bed we have here at home. I would be happy if it were like a massager bed where I could really relax and have a good sleep. But IT IS NOT!!! As soon as I have settled in, nurses came in to check on my vital signs, medication and the worse, I saw the IV Bag. Eeeeccckk! Alert... alert... The time has come where the nurse had to administer IV therapy. She was good, I must say. She made me relax and had stories and funny anecdotes to tell to help me feel comfortable. She then told me to inhale, and voila! It's done. There was no pain at all. I mean, there was minimal pain coz I felt the needle but it was just that. Nothing else. Bravo! Kudos to the nurse, and kudos to myself. Haha! Thank you to Dr. Majam, too.

Whoppee! I am now able to eat Breakfast!
He doesn't look bored at all...
