
The banana diet is one of the best and easiest ways to help us lose weight. It has been a fad in countries such as the US and Japan months ago. Some say that the Banana Diet has replaced the Grapefruit Diet. The diet is as simple as it gets - begin your day by eating one or two bananas and a glass of water. There are a lot of versions but I am only doing one.
Rule #1: Eat 1-2 bananas before 15-30 minutes before each meal. Eat only raw, uncooked, unfrozen bananas.
Rule #2: Eat normally for lunch and dinner. Eat anything you want for lunch and dinner as long as you eat dinner before 8 pm. But make sure too moderate your food intake, too. EAT ONLY UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED and NOT FULL.
Rule #3: Dessert is a BIG NO-NO!
Rule #4: Drink only water. Not chilled or hot.
Water should be drunk in small sips and not used to wash down food. This rule I had to tweak a little coz I need to drink a shot of Cranberry juice everyday to prevent UTI from coming back.
Rule #5: Enjoy an afternoon snack. Have this snack before 3pm.
Rule #6: Go to bed by midnight. Good for the skin too.
Rule # 7: Keep a diet journal for you to track down everything.
The 8th rule says EXERCISE ONLY IF YOU WANT TO. This is one rule I don't get to follow because I believe that for any diet to produce good results, one must stretch those muscles and perspire. What I do is walk, walk, and walk and do a little stretching.
