Budget.. Age.. Relationship to the recepient...
I really don't Don't spend too much on gifts. Try to be creative by finding some gift ideas that will make the recipients smile but won't be too hard on your pockets. I come from a big family, both mother and father side. Last year, for each tito and tita along with their partners, we gave them cute but elegant fleece blankets. My cousins received books of their choice not amounting to more than 500pesos. Haha. I made them write a list of books that they wanted but didn't have yet, and that's what hubby and I gave. For our friends, bottles of affordable wine and cheese. This makes Christmas shopping easy for us. We buy by the bulk and wrap them individually. Of course our parents, brothers, and sisters receive the most special ones. We already bought stuff for our immediate family members during our Hong Kong trip last week. Can't mention them yet here as they read my blog. Haha. Surprise! Surprise! Now it makes me wonder if Hubby has bought his Christmas gift for me? Coz I haven't! We were together all the time and there is no way for me to pick a special gift for him.
